Neshka (Agnieszka) Krusche<\/h3>

Neshka is a native of Krako\u0301w, Poland and a graduate of ACAD in Calgary. Since graduating from the Visual Communications Programme(VCP) Neshka has been seamlessly working in Fine Arts and Commercial Design. Neshka designs jewellery, makes ebony wood wearable pieces and sculptures, also draws and paints.<\/p> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

Artist’s Statement<\/h3>\n

The most important idea behind my latest work is BEAUTY IN SIMPLICITY. I was born and raised in Krako\u0301w, a beautiful old city known for its culture, architecture, theatre, universities and visual arts.
Although architecture (especially Gothic) and contemporary art are very important, I find that living in the country in Alberta has given me a whole new appreciation for the instinctive design process.<\/p>\n


I love the simple beauty of my surroundings, the severe climate of the Foothills, and the minimalist aesthetics of the Prairies. Simplicity
is my new luxury. After completing my \u201cArchitecture and Urban Design\u201d studies, I worked as a University Researcher and Teaching Assistant at my Alma Mater and concurrently at Architectural Studios. Once I moved to Canada, I worked at major Architectural Companies in Calgary, Alberta. <\/span><\/p>\n

I have over 40 years of experience, and many of my paintings created with various techniques are hung in private homes in Poland and Germany and in government buildings in Poland.<\/p><\/div>More <\/a> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n

Architecture, abstract art and nature are strong inspirations. Simplicity and quality are key. Neshka\u2019s collectors are drawn by the instinctive nature of the pieces.<\/p>\n

Neshka\u2019s academic training in design and fine arts is reflected in her object design. She believes that the sharp distinction between fine art and everyday objects is an obsolete idea. Therefore Neshka\u2019s pieces are finely crafted and intuitive. The pieces are handcrafted to meet museum quality, but still reflect the honesty of their raw materials. <\/span><\/p>\n

Neshka’s latest 3D work is in large scale sculptures made of charred Cedar wood. The sculptures are made of driftwood collected on the West Coast of Canada.
