By sharing our albums we would like to show the beauty and history of Poland.
It may encourage you to get to know and visit our homeland, Poland, better.
Polish Treasures in our Calgary Homes
– presenting a collection of interesting objects originally from Poland that, like their owners, have now found a home in Calgary.
Map of Poland – My family comes from here
Calgary’s largest map of Poland (dating from 1948) with pins that will allow people to mark the part of Poland where they were born, or their family come from. With these pins, we will create a topographical survey showing our guests’ geographical connection to Poland.
PAUL WOJDAK
Author of “Escape from Siberia, Escape from Memory – An Odyssey Across Two Oceans & Nine Countries to Arrive Home” will have a table on June 8, where he will display his book and chat with those, who are interested.
Paul’s wife, Teresa Wojdak is working towards a painting exhibition depicting the journey of the Siberian orphans. Some of her completed works will be on display. More about Teresa’s art at birchlanegallery.com.
Paul will remind visitors that he will give a presentation (~30 mins) in the Varsovia Room at 4:15 pm.
